Life itself is a beautiful way to gain all
the wonderful knowledge of self-learning.
We are all known for our own fast paced movements throughout life, which
makes us all strive to succeed in achieving our goals. However some of us may forget the
appreciations of life as well as the people around us. Ever take the simplest time to reflect on
yourself and to remember your own roots of kindness etc? Through my lifetime of encounters with people
and my observations of my surroundings when travelling around parts of the
world, I find that in some places there are people who forget to appreciate and
cherish all the wonderful things that life has to offer us all.
How I see it, it’s so common to hear people
moan about their life being unhappy but often forget that there are others who
are in far worse places yet still live strong.
Each day we encounter different challenges that make us all strive to
achieve or become a better person on the inside as well as outside. Sometimes I find Caring for others and
helping others is a great way of giving back a little something in today’s
society. Sure we all can show some
sympathy for others but it’s more meaningful to try helping others out from
time to time. I remember years ago on my
very first holiday abroad, whilst visiting some family relatives. A typical shopping trip out with my cousin
through the hustle and bustle city, I stopped and noticed an old lady sitting
in the heat begging. At that time
without much thought I gave the old lady a HK$10 coin, not much but as a child
then my older cousin asked me why I had stopped to give her money as his
thoughts was that this old lady was probably fine, who has a home and in no
need of help. My answer was real simple,
at that moment of thought I knew there could be many reasons it could be true
to my cousin’s logics but to me I just felt it was right to do, cause every
person has a story. It’s almost like the saying ‘Never judge a book by its
covers’, for we don’t know the story behind it.
Like the Great Audrey Hepburn once said…
‘As
you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping
yourself, the other for helping others’. – Audrey Hepburn
So in life if we can help someone in need
in anyway, lets try help for it can save more lives than have it be taken so
quick. Love & Live Life to the fullest!
